'MANZARE PAKISTAN’,a great concept by AZME ALISHAN
Pakistan is passing through a very critical situation these days, whereever we look; we find sad and tensed faces. Pakistan’s real beauty and a better side have totally gone out of the world’s vision.
It is time for a change, a time to specify the positive image of Pakistan.Azme Alishan has thought about it for sure. After a national song competition, a cleanup drive, and even school activation with Faisal Qureshi, Azme Alishan is on its way for another big project ‘Manzare Pakistan’.
‘Manzare Pakistan’ is the name of the blog, created for the people to share their tributes, experiences and good stories about Pakistan. This project will also allow people to express their creativity. Bloggers can post anything they like about Pakistan, from music video, poetry, photography to the photographs and stories from the times of their grandparents, people can post anything positive about Pakistan.
It is a great step towards bringing back the lost positive image of Pakistan around the Globe. Let us be an active part of ‘Manzare Pakistan’ and show the true and beautiful Manzar of Pakistan to the whole world.

'Manzare Pakistan',another activity of Azme Alishan
Azme Alishan (an energetic movement for the betterment of the country) has successfully arranged a national song competition, a cleanup drive, and even school activation with Faisal Qureshi. Many people have been participating with much interest and deep passion in all of the activities and this ultimately shows their love for Pakistan. Besides that, these activities are bringing up the feeling of being a true Pakistani and helping people to express their talent through a platform as well.
Now; Azme Alishan is coming up with an activity of blogging.
It’s indeed another great activity by Azme Alishan in which a blog called ‘Manzare Pakistan’ has been created. Anyone can upload his or her tributes, experiences and stories of Pakistan on the blog ‘Mazare Pakistan’.
I think it’s a great step as it will help everyone to observe the positive side of Pakistan. Through this blog, people and bloggers can share every good thing they want to share about Pakistan. They can share the stories they know, their experiences, a music piece, poetry, video or the pictures from the times of their grandparents etc.
I wish everyone would take an active part as this can make us a stronger and a more united nation.

Come and be an active part of AZME ALISHAN!
Pakistan was made to live in peace and harmony but, what many of the people are doing, highlighting the discrimination shouldn't be our focus..the issue to be thought over is who is creating hatred among the sects of Muslims which include Sunni,Shia ,Ahmadi etc and people of other religion.
Declaring non-Muslims to anyone they like and teasing people of other religions such as Christians and Parsis etc is creating a very negative image of Pakistan around the globe.
People should try their best to create a positive image of the country.
That's what is also an aim of AZME ALISHAN...to identify a positive image of the country..Azme Alishan is a great activity..it's far more than an advertising or media campaign.

Azme Alishan
- Pakistan is at a crossroads, and I think we all know this in our hearts.
We travel abroad on business and switch on CNN, pick up Time magazine, listen to the BBC and the message is the same: that Pakistan is one of the world’s most dangerous countries. Images full of violence, anger, conflict.
It hurts. And of course there’s a truth in it too, which is painful to acknowledge.
But it isn’t our truth about Pakistan. Why are we allowing others to define who we are ? Where are the voices that... (read more) - That is what this campaign is all about: IT’S AN OPPORTUNITY TO SAY WHO WE ARE.
To reclaim a sense of our identity as Pakistanis, assert our values and what we stand for decide where were going in the next 70 years, and what kind of country we want to live in. And resolve to do something about it for ourselves individually and collectively.
It’s called Azm-e-Alishan (The Glorious Resolve), words from our national anthem which every Pakistani grows up with. Its time we thought about what they mean for us as individuals, and as a nation. What do we resolve?
This isn’t a big political statement or promise. The campaign is nothing to do with government or big business. It’s about us as a people, taking part in something together, renewing our faith in each other, rekindling the communal spirit that enabled the creation of Pakistan 70 years ago. Let’s get involved, speak up, and not sit on the sidelines.
Azm-e-Alishan draws on the spirit and values of the Lahore Resolution: struggle, sacrifice and dreams. It’s up to us to decide what our values are today, and look forward.
Because we know this, it’s no good complaining about our image in the world if were not prepared to do something about it. If we let others define who we are, if we don’t stand up for what we believe in, then we will begin to doubt ourselves, and lose our way. We risk becoming what they say we are.
Being proud to be Pakistani isn’t enough. Let’s look inside us each and every one of us, remember who we really are, and show them the real Pakistan. We are fighting for the soul of this country.
Azme Alishan. Azme Pakistan!

Hate the terrorists,NOT MY CITY!
Written by,Bushra Khalid Syed
Hate the terrorists, NOT MY CITY!
Karachi is still, the city of lights!
Karachi this! Karachi that! Is it necessary to be a pessimistic every time? Is it necessary to just focus on the negative facet every time? Trust me, the city; Karachi is not JUST BAD as it is being portrayed every time!
The city ‘was’ and ‘is’ not unpleasant, these are the TERRORISTS and CRIMINALS who are being offensive to this beautiful city of lights! I don’t mean to blame any particular society for this concept, it’s just the general people who always love to make an issue over what we are suffering rather than being positive regarding what we have and what can be done to overcome the lacks and problems which we are suffering.
As said by Tom Cruise “When you have to cope with a lot of problems, you’re either going to sink or you’re going to swim”. Believe me; the Karachians are courageous enough to swim in the challenging sea no matter how high the waves are! Just like the ocean, their thoughts are deep and wide.
I accept, Karachi comes on the top when the subject is about the crimes and terrorism in Pakistan but, why blaming the whole of the Karachians in this regard. Comments like:” Oh! You Karachians are always ready to fight over everything!” And “Karachians are very impatient”etc, just make me feel like screaming!
Secondly, according to the researches Karachi also comes on top concerning the educational state in Pakistan. Besides this, the Karachians, other than those terrorists, are the friendliest and lively people in Pakistan. They are always full of energy and they are the one who understand the real reason of the existence in the best way. Trust me; they are the most helpful people I have ever seen. They know how to enjoy life and how to feel the every little happiness around, whenever they are given space to do so and yes! It would be rude not to mention that I have observed the Karachians as the most creative ones.
I remember my Aunt’s comments when she came to Karachi from Australia after 8 years:”Oh wow! Karachi has become more beautiful than before”. She couldn’t believe her eyes observing the striking flyovers, captivating Parks and gorgeous malls.
How can one ignore many vast and developing changes happening in Karachi? It’s still the bright city of lights; infact the people in this city are capable enough to make it a brighter city of lights, after all, the Karachians believe this fact that “The human spirit is stronger than anything that happens to it” (C.C Scott), these are just those terrorists who seem to be so much intended about converting Karachi into a dark city of broken lights!
